size does matter when it comes to getting naked

Bet you're only reading this post because of the title, eh? ... {insert chirping cricket sounds here}.

Now, if your mind is lost somewhere between the words Naked and size in the title, I would highly recommend you put that mind of yours in reverse and gostan balik {or "reverse" in colloquial Malay} down the WALK OF SHAME because I was referring to the Urban Decay Naked Basic Palette.

Launched late last year, the Naked Basic palette features six full-sized eyeshadows featuring one satin and five true matte shades. In just one single palette the size of an iPhone, Urban Decay has tamed the CRAVE of their fans calling out for more matte shades with four new exclusive shades only to this palette.

I can totally understand why though. Both the Naked and NAKED2 palette features more shimmery shades than mattes ... except for two in each palette. I have the Naked2 palette and although I love it to bits, I sometimes do find myself wishing there were more matte than shimmery shades in there. The Naked palettes are all about neutrals and pulling off a neutral look doesn't always require shimmer ... mattes can be pretty FOXY too.

I've read the reviews on the Naked Basic palette. If a shuttle could run on rave reviews, the ones on this palette can most definitely fuel it to VENUS and back; it is that good.

The Naked Basic palette is housed in a slim case and has a slight rubbery finish to it. It's petite and light enough to lug around in your wristlet or bag and with the extra padding, you don't have to worry about scratching or breaking it {see ... size does matter!}

A lot of the reviews raved about the colours as densely pigmented with true-to-pan color payoff. Application is also apparently silky smooth without a smidgen of chalkiness as this new palette features Urban Decay’s brand new Pigment Infusion System™ - a proprietary blend of ingredients that gives every shade its velvety texture, rich color, serious staying power and blendability.

Just blogging about this makes me want one ...

... which is why I am blogging about it because the Million Dollar Beauty is featuring an Urban Decay Naked Basic palette giveaway! FAINT. In just three easy steps, I might just win myself this much raved about palette {fingers crossed!} but if you'd like to give it a go as well, all you need to do is:

1. Blog and buzz about the competition as creatively as you can.
2. Link back to the Million Dollar Beauty blog.
3. Leave your post URL in the comment box.

Simple, ain't it? Now ... put your game faces on girls and may the best gal win. Hoo-yah!

ps: If you're wondering what's with the blue capped words scattered around this post, well ... those are the names of the shades available in the the Naked Basic palette. The competition called for creativeness ... this was all my tired-out-of-brain-juice mind could come up with :-)

Simply because I don't have the actual product to photograph ... yet.
